Ahoy Mateys!*
I have been in near daily contact with Comcast to resolve these issues, and here is the most recent information available:
If you box is continuing to receive a "please wait a moment" or a similar message, call the customer service number at 215-992-2712 and, once you give the Tech your apt. number, ask them to "send a signal to your box."
This should solve the problem and make sure your box is receiving a signal from Comcast.
If that does not work and they agree to send a Technician to your apartment, please give them your specific phone number. Currently, my phone number is on the overall account, so I've been receiving phone calls for every room that is scheduling a visit with a Tech. Comcast is aware of this issue and is working on their end to correct it, but it helps if you give them your contact info for the specific apt.
Let's hope this is my final post on the issue. *Also, happy National Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day!
Off to sea,

Cable Box update at Podiatry!!!!
All,
Good afternoon. As of 1PM today we've given out approximately 100 or so cable boxes. That's terrific! Thank you very much for being patient with us if you find a line when you come to pick up your box.
Unfortunately, I'm receiving reports of boxes not working and/or not being registered with Comcast. When you hook-up your box to the wall and connect it to your TV a picture should appear. If you get a message saying - no signal/not registered (or something close to that) - it means that Comcast has not yet uploaded the serial number on your boxes to your room account.
You can call Comcast customer service at 215-992-2712 if you don't have signal or are receiving a not-registered message.
If your box does not work - won't turn on, no signal, no lights i.e. nothing - please bring it back to the office. We have a limited amount of extra boxes.
Hopefully everyone's box works and we all can sit back and indulge in the glorious rapture that is cable TV soon.
Cheers,
RD Will

CABLE BOXES- UPDATE!
Everyone,
Happy Monday! I have some potentially good news. Comcast has confirmed that they will be delivering 200+ cable boxes with coaxial cables to our building in the next week or two. Granted, please realize that they've been saying something to this affect for more than a month. At this point I am very hopeful that we're nearing the end of this stalemate with Comcast and we can all go back to watching ESPN, CNN, TNT and other random, bad television at 3AM.
Cheers,
RD Will Fenton

Cable update for Podiatry
All,
Good afternoon. In case you were wondering, this is not an update on the long running, often down-trodden X-men character.
Nope, I'm here to talk about Cable TV! After nearly two months of wrangling, Comcast has conceded and we at Podiatry will be receiving cable boxes in the near future. While I can't give you a date at this point (I'm working out delivery and storage logistics for 200+ cable boxes), I can say it should be very soon, and can nearly guarantee it will be before Oct. 1.
More to come in the very near future, I promise.
And now back to your regularly scheduled doing-something-else.
