First Person Arts Festival (Tues Nov 3-Sun Nov 8): Three unique events--educational, inspiring, moving--for Temple students (one is free; two are discounted for students with valid ID)

This year's annual festival by First Person Arts, Nov 3-8, at the Painted Bride (230 Vine Street) features a range of impressive artists and many interesting, entertaining events--two of them exclusively discounted for Temple students!

  • On Thursday, Nov 5, 8.30pm, the Yes Men, activists seeking to right political and corporate wrongs by faking news conferences for actual journalists, will share--in word and film--how they fix the world.
  • Memoir-wannabees and fans can't miss the discussion by five published memoirists on Saturday, Nov 7, at 2pm, "Inside the Writer's Notebook ." These accomplished writers will share insight into their own creative processes and read from their recent work. A one-of-a-kind experience awaits on Sunday, Nov 8, 2.30pm. Kenneth Hartman's life story , as told through a reading from his book Mother California and a live Q&A from the California State prison, is powerful and inspiring. Kenneth is a murderer-turned-father and prison system activist. (This event is FREE).
The events will take place at the Painted Bride Art Center at 230 Vine Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19106.
Check out the festival program for more info!

Members discount with valid student I.D.
